At Urban Kids Play up on Queen Anne, you will find a charming variety of “uber posh” European and local specialty toys, games, books, crafts, baby gifts, clothing, and shoes for your preschooler. Part educational toy store- part urban activity center, Urban Kids Play is a wonderful alternative to the larger, commercial toy stores.

We loved the adorable rain gear sets, socks, tights, and their 100 fabulous styles of oh-so-cute shoes! We also spotted imaginative magnetic dress-up dolls, high-end trikes, well-made wooden pull toys, and a huge variety of science and craft kits.

Many of the whimsical store displays are on wheels, making for a stroller-friendly environment. Right out front, there is a protected sidewalk for chalk play. Bathrooms are very family-friendly, and have everything a parent or preschooler would need.
