Have someone else read a fun imaginative story to your preschooler. With many public library branches in the Seattle area, including the Seattle Public Library System and the King County Library System, you will have many different locations and times to choose from. A great place to meet other parents and let your preschooler interact with their peers.

Advantages Of Preschool Story Time At The Public Library

Since there are many branches to choose from, there is probably one in your neighborhood.

Story time is only a half an hour (in most locations), they use stories, finger play and songs to keep your preschoolers attention the whole time. You will be amazed how fast the time goes.

The stories they read at the "Preschool Story Time" are preschool engaging stories. Your preschooler won't get bored listening to stories picked out specifically for preschoolers.

Your preschooler will get to interact with other preschoolers. This is a great opportunity for preschoolers who stay home with their parents most of the day.

It is a great time to teach your preschooler about respecting the library, its books and the rules of the library, in a peer environment.

Disadvantages Of Preschool Story Time At The Public Library

It is in a library, and though meant for preschoolers, there is still a need to be quiet and respect the library rules when not in the story time group. This can be hard when there are a many preschoolers in the same area, though the staff is great at dealing with such thing.

Story times are limited to specific times at each branch. The times may conflict with your schedule, which can make for a great missed opportunity.
