Preschooler Friendly Restaurant - Red Robin At Pier 55

By Evaun Mari Milne

Red Robin is a chain restaurant that can be found in many cities in the United States and Canada. Fashioned as a hip new burger joint, Red Robin is a favorite among families with preschool-aged children. From burgers to pizza, pasta to their delicious shakes, Red Robin is sure to have something for everyone. Even the pickiest of eaters are sure to find something they love on the menu.

Advantages of Red Robin At Pier 55 for Preschoolers

Set above the water on Pier 55 this Red Robin has an ambiance all it's own. Though still filled with Red Robin's trade mark charm of a colorful burger joint, the bright colors and fun artwork that decorate the inside make for great "I-Spying". The atmosphere is fun for the whole family.

Your preschooler can be provided with a booster seat if you ask for one. They will also bring crackers if you need something to quiet your preschooler down until food is ordered. Balloons are available for your preschooler, too; you just have to ask.

There is a wide variety of menu choices for preschoolers. From Red Robin Burgers in your choice of beef, chicken, turkey, veggie or Boca, to pasta dishes like Red Robinetti Spaghetti and Cheesey Mac N' Cheesey. There is also Grilled Cheesewich, Red's Pizzaria Pizza in pepperoni or cheese, Carnival Corn Dog, Chick-n-Cheese Quesadilla and Chick-Chick-Chicken Fingers (you get 3 chicken fingers) available. And for $4.29 a plate, you can't go wrong.

Drink refills for children are free. They also have "bottomless" steak fries, which is a great added bonus for preschoolers that love their fries.

The menu is placed upon a color-your-own placemat, with coloring on both sides and fun word games. They also provide crayons to color the placemats.

For birthday celebrations Red Robin will provide the birthday child with a free dessert sundae and a birthday song, sung Red Robin style. It is a great place for birthday dinners. They can accommodate large parties so bring your birthday party to Red Robin.

This Red Robin has Red, the Red Robin mascot, come and visit on various days (you can call ahead of time and ask which days), which is always fun for preschoolers. There is a small arcade of video games and fun-mirrors to entertain while waiting to be seated.

Disadvantages of Red Robin At Pier 55 for Preschoolers

If you go to Red Robin on the weekends or between the times of 5:00 and 7:00 pm, expect a 15 minute wait.

Larger parties of five or more will be seat at a table in the center, unless you request a booth before hand. Though booths for larger parties usually require some sort of wait.
