Craven's Pumpkin Patch

by Pam Koons

Pumpkins
Charlie Brown would have a “Hay Day” at Craven’s Pumpkin Farm, a local preschool favorite! Located in the north end city of Snohomish, Craven’s Pumpkin Farm is the perfect pumpkin patch for preschoolers! With so many preschooler activities and events, families can spend an entire day enjoying the corn mazes, story barn, hay rides, pumpkin fields, harvest snacks, baby animals, picnic areas, gift shop and so much more!

What Preschoolers will Love about Craven’s Pumpkin Farm

Craven’s Farm has 20 acres of preschooler pumpkin choices. Look for white pumpkins, too! Getting there on a hay wagon will be half the fun! The Farm is very well-laid out, so preschoolers don’t have to walk too far. Note- walking further out into the fields doesn’t always guarantee the best pumpkin!

The Preschool Story Barn opens Oct. 15th, and offers delightful stories about Farmer Mark and the Naughty Field Mice. This has always been a big hit with local preschools.

Right by the large picnic area, there are Mother Goose nursery rhyme scenes your preschooler can play in which also make for nice photo ops. Restrooms (clean Sani-cans) are here. Baby farm animals are often available to see and pet. Some times the goats run free and can be a pest, but that’s part of the fun!

Most preschoolers will love the corn maize (small fee), although it can be a bit intimidating for a younger preschooler.

What Parents will Love about Craven’s Pumpkin Farm

Pumpkin Time
Craven’s Farm is a 25 year family-owned farm, and is well-organized. The friendly Staff is very experienced with preschoolers. Expect Halloween-costumed characters out and about the farm to greet and entertain you preschooler!

Craven’s Gift Shop offers items from local crafts people. The Snack Shack has fresh hot cider, popping-good kettle corn, donuts, espresso and hot chocolate.

Free tractor hayrides to the pumpkin fields are a treat for all ages! If your preschooler is lucky, they might run into Farmer Mark tending the pumpkins!
